Common A'amal 19th, 21th and 23rd

The  Common A'maals  for all 3 nights are given below : -

1. Take a Ghusl preferably near sunset time (wudhu also required) . 

2. Give/pre arrange for Sadqa/Charity tonight.
 

3. Recite two Rakats Salat, in every Rakat recite Sura-al-Hamd, and Sure Ikhlaas seven times. 

4. After finishing the prayer recite 70 times: 

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إلَيْهِ

astaghfiru allaha wa atubu ilayhi  

5. The Holy Qur'an should be opened and placed in front, then one should recite:

 "Alaahumma inni asaloka be kitaabekal munzale Wa maa feeh, wa feehismokal akbaro wa asmaakal husnaa, wa maa yokhaafo Wa yurjaa an taj-alani min otaqaaeka minan-Naar",

6. He should place the Holy Qur'an on his head and say

"Allaahumma be haqqe haazal Qur'an we be haqqe man arsaltahoo beh, Wa be haqqe kulle momenin madahtahoo feeh, we be haqqeka alaihim fa-laa ahada a'arafo be haqqeka mink"

7. After this he should repeat 10 times each

بِعَلِيّ

bi-`aliyyin

بِفَاطِمَةَ

bi-fatimata

بِالحَسَنِ

bilhasani

bi-`aliyyi bni alhusayni

   بِمُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ

bi-muhammadi bni `aliyyin  

  بِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ

bi-ja`fari bni muhammadin

بِمُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ

bi-musa bni ja`farin

    بِعَلِيّ بْنِ مُوسَى

bi-`aliyyi bni musa 

بِمُحَمّدِ بْنِ عَلِيّ

bi-muhammadi bni `aliyyin 

بِعَلِيّ بْنِ مُحَمّدٍ

bi-`aliyyi bni muhammadin

بِالحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيّ

bilhasani bni `aliyyin 

بِالحُجّةِ

bilhujjati l qaemi alaihimus salam

8. Recite the  Ziarat of Imam Hussain (A.S.). According to Hadith, during Lailat-e-Qadr an angel proclaims from the Arsh (throne) on the Seventh sky that Allah has forgiven who have visited the grave of  Imam Hussain (as).

9. Keep awake the whole night. It has been reported that whoever keeps awake during Laylatul Qadr will have all his sins forgiven even if they number the stars in the sky, the stones in the mountains and are of the quantity of water in the seas.

10. Recite a hundred rakats Namaz. A person can also pray 6 days qaza namaz starting with the Zohr and ending at Fajr in place of 2 rakat Namaz.

News Update of the week

• Expansion of Masjid e Al Qaim
  Masjid e Al Qaim 4th Cross Anepalya has decided to acquire 4600 sq ft of land for expansion. This decision of expansion comes after a steep increase of regular namazis in recent times. The land has been aqcquired from Badami family for a price of 1 Crore 20 Lacs for which 15 lacs was waived off as a contribution from the family which owns the land. Momineen are requested to contribute in this noble cause.
  
  
• Ijaza e Khums for Babul Hawaej
  Anujman e Imamia has obtained Ijaza e Khums of Rs 1 Crore from Ayatollah Sistani.. Momineen may contribute Sehme Imam portion of khums in this noble cause of building Babul Hawaej.
  
  
• Written Islami Quiz 
  Written Islami Quiz will be conducted in Masjid e Askari in the month of Ramadhan. A registration fee of Rs 10 is to be paid to register and obtain a preparatory booklet. The Questions in this written quiz will be based on this preparatory booklet. Date of the quiz will be announced soon.

Dua e Sahar also known as Dua e Baha.

Dua Abu Hamza Thumali

 Abu Hamza Thumali (r.a) was a close companion of Imam Sajjad (a.s) He has related that during the month of Ramadhan Imam Sajjad (a.s) used to spend a greater part of the night in prayers and when it used to be the time of beginning of the fast he recited the following dua'a.

Dua to be recited every night of Ramadhan

It is recommended to say the following supplication reported from Imam Ja`far al-Sadiq (a.s). If one recites the following supplication everyday in Ramadhan, Allah will forgive the sins of forty years of his age:

اللّهُمّ رَبّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ،
مُنَزّلَ القُرْآنِ،
هذَا شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ
الّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ القُرْآنَ
وَأَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ آيَاتٍ بَيّنَاتٍ مِنَ الهُدَى وَالفُرْقَانِ.
اللّهُمّ ارْزُقْنَا صِيَامَهُ،
وَأَعِنَّا عَلَى قِيَامِهِ.
اللّهُمّ سَلّمْهُ لَنَا،
وَسَلّمْنَا فِيهِ،
وَتَسَلّمْهُ مِنَّا فِي يُسْرٍ مِنْكَ وَمُعَافَاةٍ،
وَاجْعَلْ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدّرُ
مِنَ الأَمْرِ المَحْتُومِ
وَفِيمَا تَفْرُقُ مِنَ الأَمْرِ الحَكِيمِ
فِي لَيْلَةِ القَدْرِ
مِنَ القَضَاءِ الّذِي لا يُرَدّ وَلا يُبَدّلُ
أَنْ تَكْتُبَنِي مِنْ حُجَّاجِ بَيْتِكَ الحَرَامِ،
المَبْرُورِ حَجّهُمُ،
المَشْكُورِ سَعْيُهُمُ،
المَغْفُورِ ذُنُوبُهُمُ،
المُكَفّرِ عَنْهُمْ سَيّئَاتُهُمْ،
وَاجْعَلْ فِيمَا تَقْضِي وَتُقَدّرُ
أَنْ تُطِيلَ لِي فِي عُمْرِي، 

وَتُوَسّعَ عَلَيّ مِنَ الرّزْقِ الحَلالِ

English Transliteration

allahumma rabba shahri ramadhana
munazzila alqur’anihadha shahru ramadhana
alladhy anzalta fihi alqur’ana
wa anzalta fihi ayatin bayyinatin mina alhuda wal-furqani
allahumma arzuqna siyamahu
wa a`inna `ala qiyamihi
allahumma sallimhu lana
wa sallimna fihi
wa tasallamhu minna fi yusrin minka wa mu`afatin
waj`al fima taqdhy wa tuqaddiru
mina al-amri almahtumi
wa fima tafruqu mina alamri alhakimi
fi laylati alqadri
mina alqadha‘i alladhy la yuraddu wa la yubaddalu
an taktubany min hujjaji baytika alharami
almabruri hajjuhumu
almashkuri sa`yuhumu
almaghfuri dhunubuhumu
almukaffari `anhum sayyi’atuhum
waj`al fima taqdhy wa tuqaddiru
an tutila li fi `umri
wa twass`a `alayya mina alrrzqi alhalali

.اللّهُمّ إِنّهُ قَدْ دَخَلَ شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ

اللّهُمّ رَبّ شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

الّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ فِيهِ القُرْآنَ

.وَجَعَلْتَهُ بَيّنَاتٍ مِنَ الهُدَى وَالفُرْقَانِ

،اللّهُمّ فَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ

،وَأَعِنَّا عَلَى صِيَامِهِ وَصَلَوَاتِهِ

.وَتَقَبّلْهُ مِنَّا

English Transliteration 
allahumma innahu qad dakhala shahru ramadhana
allahumma rabba shahri ramadhana
alladhy anzalta fihi alqur’ana
wa ja`altahu bayyinatin mina alhuda wal-furqani
allahumma fabarik lana fi shahri ramadhana
wa a`inna `ala siyamihi wa salawatihi
wa taqabbalhu minna

Holy Month Of Ramadhan

The Prophet mentioned in a hadith, "Rajab is the month of Allah, Sha`ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of the Nation.


An important lecture/khutbah/sermon which the Prophet Muhammad(s.a.w) gave before the beginning of Ramadhan.
May Allah(swt) help us to take advantage of this blessed month. Keep all Momins in prayers and also pray for our awaited Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s).

Jashn at Masjid-e-Askari

Jashn-e-Sultaane Wafa will be held at Masjid-e-Askari Richmond Town, Bangalore at 8:30pm on Fri 6th Aug and Sat 7th Aug 2010.
Various famous poets are expected to be present on this event.
Tabbaruk would be served prior to the mehfil.
